Every question
maps to the ACS.
Leo is an FAA A&P training platform built on the Airman Certification Standards. Adaptive testing, spaced repetition, and an AI tutor that answers from your own maintenance library — and cites the page.
The spine of the platform
Not “aligned to” the ACS.
Built out of it.
Most test-prep tools bolt a topic tag onto a question bank. In Leo the ACS code is the primary key. Every question, every book chunk, every study session, and every report rolls up to a code — so “where am I weak?” has an exact answer instead of a percentage.
Difficulty is measured, never guessed
A question's difficulty is 1 − (correct ÷ attempts), recomputed after every test. No admin sets a slider.
Confidence is inferred, never asked
Response time, answer changes, flags, and history combine into an implicit confidence score. Students are never interrupted to rate themselves.
Coverage you can defend
Show an accreditor exactly which codes a cohort has covered, and to what depth.

Two modes, one engine
Practice like it’s Tuesday.
Test like it’s the real thing.

Timing follows the FAA spec exactly — 2.0 min/question on General, 1.2 on Airframe and Powerplant.
Exam Simulation
60 or 100 Q · 120 min · strict
A full section under real conditions. Hard countdown, auto-submit on expiry, no explanations until you finish. Random across the whole section — no adaptive weighting, exactly like the FAA.
- Pass/fail at 70%
- Auto-submit on timeout
- Results only after submission
Practice Drill
Any scope · timer visible, not enforced
Drill a section, a subject, or just your weak areas. The engine pulls 70% from ACS codes you are struggling with and 30% review, and skips anything you got right in the last 48 hours.
- Adaptive weighting
- Immediate or end-of-drill feedback
- Scope down to one subject

Grounded, not generative
An AI tutor that shows
its source.
Upload the textbooks your program actually teaches from. Leo parses, chunks, and embeds them — then answers only from those pages. Every response carries a citation. When the library doesn’t contain the answer, the tutor says so instead of inventing one.
Magneto timing is checked with a timing light at the specified crankshaft position — the E-gap. Retarding the magneto beyond that point delays ignition and costs power.
Cites every claim
Chapter and page, every time.
Admits the gap
No evidence, no answer.
Beyond the written
The written is one
of three gates.
Passing the knowledge test doesn’t make a mechanic. Leo tracks the practical too, with a task register your instructors sign off against.
Practical register
14 CFR 147 tasks tracked per student, with instructor sign-off recorded against each.

Nothing falls through
Miss it once, and it
comes back on schedule.
Every wrong answer — and every shaky right one — enters an SM-2 spaced repetition queue automatically. Intervals stretch as you prove retention and collapse the moment you slip. Students never build the queue by hand.

Proven scheduler
Ease factor from 2.5, floored at 1.3.

Expanding intervals
Days between reviews grow with mastery.

Graded automatically

Multi-tenant by design
Every query is scoped to your tenant. Cross-tenant data is a structural impossibility, not a policy.
Cohorts & rosters
Bulk-import students, group them into cohorts, and track readiness across a whole class.
Section entitlements
General, Airframe, and Powerplant are separate workspaces. Grant them to a student individually.
Your own library
Upload the textbooks you teach from. Leo parses, chunks, and embeds them — the tutor answers from those pages.
Reports that map to ACS
Coverage by code, cohort readiness, weak-area rollups. Export to PDF or CSV.
Practical sign-off
Track 14 CFR 147 practical tasks and record instructor sign-offs against each one.
Your checkride has a
syllabus. So should your prep.
Practice drills, exam simulations, and a tutor grounded in your own maintenance library.
